What is Tricort Injection?

Tricort Injection contains Triamcinolone is a corticosteroid which is used to relieve symptoms such as swelling and pain in various conditions such as arthritis, skin disorders, and allergic disorders.

What is Tricort Injection used for?

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis

Talk to your Doctor, if you ever had:

  • are allergic or hypersensitive to Triamcinolone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • bleeding problems,
  • blood clots,
  • bone loss (osteoporosis),
  • diabetes,
  • heart problems (such as heart failure, recent heart attack),
  • high blood pressure,
  • kidney disease,
  • liver disease
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
  • Consult with doctor

Tricort 40 Injection may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Tell your doctor immediately if you have pain in the eyes or problems with your vision. This may affect your driving ability.

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have ever taken following medicines:

  • including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products
  • Antidiabetic medicines
  • Bupropion
  • Adalimumab
  • Ketoconazole
  • Ibuprofen
  • It is administered to you by a doctor or nurse  
  • You will always receive this injection by infusion into one of your veins
  •  Kindly do not self administer
  • Infection
  • Headache
  • Joint pain
  • Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness)
  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
  • Do not use the medicine after expiry date
