What is TRAX  250MG Tablet?

  • TRAX 250MG contain Tranexamic acid (TXA) .
  • Tranexamic acid works by slowing the breakdown of blood clots, which helps to prevent prolonged bleeding.
  • It belongs to a class of drugs known as antifibrinolytics.

What is TRAX  250MG Tablet?

  • TRAX 250MG (Tranexamic) is a medication used to treat or prevent excessive blood loss from major trauma, postpartum bleeding, surgery, tooth removal, nosebleeds, and heavy menstruation.
  • It is also used for hereditary angioedema
  • Talk to your doctor before taking TRAX, if you
  • Allergic to tranexamic acid
  • History of seizures
  • History of venous or arterial thromboembolism or active thromboembolic disease
  • Severe kidney impairment due to accumulation of the medication, dose adjustment is required in mild or moderate kidney impairment
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, or if you are planning to become pregnant or breast feeding
  • Ask your doctor for advice before taking any medicine

  • Some products that may interact with this drug include: "blood thinners" (anticoagulants such as warfarin, heparin), drugs that prevent bleeding (including factor IX complex, anti-inhibitor coagulant concentrates), estrogens, hormonal birth control (such as pills, patch, ring), tibolone, tretinoin.
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the tablets with a glass of water
  • IT is typically taken three times a day. The dose is usually taken on an full stomach about after meals. However, the dosage and details of administration may vary depending on the patient's age, symptoms, and other factors.
  • Usually 2 tablets 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, bedtime).

  •  If this is not working well enough to control your bleeding, your doctor may tell you to take 2 tablets 4 times day.
