What is TEAR?

TEAR contains CarboxyMethylCellulose which is the is used to relieve dry, irritated eyes by keeping the eye moist

What TEAR is used for?

Eye Preparations:

It is used,

For the temporary relief of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to the wind and sun
May be used as a protectant against further irritation

Gel (Topical):

It is used,

It is used to provide the optimum moist wound healing environment during the later stages of wound healing. It is low adherent and does not harm viable tissue or the skin surrounding the wound

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

are allergic to this medicine or any ingredient of this medicine
using contact lenses

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant. Consult your doctor before using this medicine

Ask a doctor before using this medicine

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

benzalkonium chloride
menthol
zinc chloride
benzocaine
cetylpyridinium

Eye Drops:

Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed
To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to any surface
Replace cap after using

Eye Ointment/Gel:

Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed

If you use more TEAR

If you use more TEAR, talk to your doctor or go to a hospital straight away

If you forget to use TEAR

If you forget to use a dose, skip the missed dose. Then take your next dose as normal. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop using TEAR

Talk to your doctor before stopping this medicine

changes in vision
continued redness
irritation of the eye
allergic reaction at the site of application (Topical)
