What is SPACOVIN 20MG?

  • SPACOVIN 20MG contains Drotaverine which belongs to a group of  medicines called antispasmodics

What SPACOVIN 20MG is used for?

It is used in,

  • stones or inflammation in the gall bladder or the biliary ways
  • stones or inflammation of the kidneys and the urinary tract, spasm of the bladder
  • uncomplicated labour in the phase of cervical dilation for decrease of the dilation duration and the whole labour duration
  • gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), spasm of the upper and the lower stomach muscles, bowel inflammation
  • dysmenorrhea (painful periods) and relief of severe spastic pain during labour

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic or hypersensitive to Drotaverine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have severe liver, renal and heart failure, conductivity disorders of the heart (atrio-ventricular block)
  • have low blood pressure
  • have anaphylactic symptoms and bronchospasm
  • have history of asthma or allergy
  • If you are pregnant or breast feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • This medicine should not be administered to children
  • You should avoid performing potentially hazardous activities such as driving and using machines

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • levodopa (used to treat parkinson’s disease)
  • It must only be given intramuscularly (in the muscles) or intravenously (in the veins) by a doctor or nurse
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Dryness in mouth
  • Vertigo

SPACOVIN 20MG Injection 2ml is an anti-spasmodic medicine which relieves contractions (spasms) associated with smooth muscles in the abdomen.

  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
