What is SEROPRAM 10MG?

  • SEROPRAM 10MG contains Escitalopram which belongs to anti-depressant medicines. It widely prescribed to treat depression and other mental health conditions like anxiety, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is a type of antidepressant known as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).

What SEROPRAM 10MG is used for?

  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorder
  • Panic disorder

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to escitalopram oxalate or citalopram hydrobromide or any of the ingredients in this medicine
  • have liver, kidney or heart problems
  • have or had seizures or convulsions
  • have bipolar disorder or mania
  • have a history of a stroke
  • have low sodium levels in your blood
  • have or had bleeding problems
  • are an alcoholic
  • It is not known if SEROPRAM 10MG will harm your unborn baby or pass into your breast milk
  • If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant or breast feeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine
  • You should not drive, operate heavy machinery or do other dangerous activities until you know how SEROPRAM 5MG affects you

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take such as:

  • triptans used to treat migraine headache
  • tricyclics, lithium, SSRIs, SNRIs, amphetamines, or antipsychotics, medicines used to treat mood, anxiety, psychotic or thought disorders
  • tramadol
  • warfarin
  • NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen or aspirin used to treat pain and inflammation
  • Take SEROPRAM 10MG exactly as prescribed. Your healthcare provider may need to change the dose of SEROPRAM 10MG until it is the right dose for you
  • It may be taken with or without food

If you take more SEROPRAM 10MG

  • If you take too much SEROPRAM 10MG, contact your doctor or go to nearest hospital 

If you forget to take SEROPRAM 10MG

  • If you forget to take SEROPRAMO 10MG, take it as soon as you remember 
  • If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
  • Do not take two doses at the same time

If you stop taking SEROPRAM 10MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to stop your treatment
  • Anorgasmia (decreased orgasm) in women
  • Decreased libido
  • Delayed ejaculation
  • Fatigue
  • Increased sweating
  • Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping)
  • Nausea
  • Sleepiness
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
  • Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)

SEROPRAM 10 Tablet is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain. This improves mood and physical symptoms of depression and also relieves symptoms of anxiety, panic attacks and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
