What is OMNIPAQUE 350mg?

  • OMNIPAQUE 350mg contains iohexol which belongs to the group of medicines called known as contrast media or dyes.

What OMNIPAQUE 350mg is used for?

  • This medication is used before X-ray imaging tests (such as CT scans).

Before taking iohexol, tell your doctor or pharmacist:

  • If you are allergic to it; to other contrast media; or to iodine; or if you have any other allergies.
  • your medical history, especially of: asthma, hay fever, kidney disease.
  • During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • When taken by mouth, this medication is unlikely to pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
  • Consult your doctor.
  • It is not known whether Omnipaque 350mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
  • Drug interactions may change how your medications work or increase your risk for serious side effects. This document does not contain all possible drug interactions. Keep a list of all the products you use (including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products) and share it with your doctor and pharmacist. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicines without your doctor's approval.
  • One product that may interact with this drug is: metformin.
