What is MINIRIN 0.2MG?

  • MINIRIN 0.2MG contains Desmopressin 

What MINIRIN 0.2MG is used for?

  • MINIRIN 0.2MG is used to treat nocturnal polyuria

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to any ingredient in MINIRIN 0.2MG 
  • have or have had low salt levels in your blood
  • have or may have a condition called syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH) secretion
  • have an illness that can cause you to have low levels of fluid or electrolytes
  • have high blood pressure that is not controlled
  • have any heart or kidney problems
  • have increased pressure in your brain (increased intracranial pressure)
  • have a history of not being able to empty your bladder all the way (urinary retention)
  • If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breast feeding, consult your doctor for advice
  • It is not known if MINIRIN 0.2MG is safe and effective in children

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements or any medicines such as:

  • diuretic
  • glucocorticoid (steroid) medicine, including an inhaled glucocorticoid (steroid) medicine
  • tricyclic antidepressant or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), medicine used to treat depression
  • chlorpromazine, medicine used to treat mood disorders, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
  • carbamazepine, medicine used to treat seizures
  • non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you

If you take more MINIRIN 0.2MG

  • If you have taken more MINIRIN 0.2MG, contact your doctor or go to nearest hospital immediately

If you forget to take MINIRIN 0.2MG

  • If you forget to take MINIRIN 0.2MG, take it as soon as you remember 
  • If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
  • Do not take two doses at the same time

If you stop taking MINIRIN 0.2MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to stop your treatment
  • headache
  • feeling restless
  • drowsiness
  • muscle cramps
  • nausea, vomiting
  • tiredness (fatigue)
  • dizziness
  • change in your mental condition such as hallucinations, confusion, decreased awareness
  • dry mouth
  • low levels of salt in blood (hyponatremia)
  • dizziness
