What is MEGAPEN 1GM?

MEGAPEN 1GM contains Ampicillin and Cloxacillin which belongs to group of medicine called antibiotics

What MEGAPEN 1GM is used for?

It is used to treat the following infections:

infected wounds or lung infections following surgery
respiratory tract infections
fever associated with childbirth

Talk to your Doctor if you:

are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
have heart, liver or kidney problems

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

Your doctor will give the right dose depends on your child’s age and body weight

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

allopurinol, probenecid (used for gout)

This medicine will be given to you by doctor or nurse
It will be given as an infusion into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly)
