What is MAGNEX FORTE 1.5GM?

  • MAGNEX FORTE 1.5GMcontains cefoperazone and sulbactam which belongs to a group of medicine called antibiotics

What MAGNEX FORTE 1.5GM is used for?

It is used to treat:

  • Respiratory tract infections (upper and lower)
  • Urinary tract infections (upper and lower)
  • Peritonitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, and other intra-abdominal infections
  • Septicaemia
  • Meningitis
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Bone and joint infections
  • Pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, gonorrhoea, and other infections of the genital tract

Talk to your doctor if you:

  • are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine
  • have severe allergic reaction to any other type of  beta-lactam or cephalosporin therapy
  • have vitamin K deficiency
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • MAGNEX FORTE 1.5GM can be used children and adolescents

  • MAGNEX FORTE 1.5GM will be given by doctor or nurse in to your vein
  • Diarrhea
  • Abnormal liver function tests
  • Allergic reaction
  • Anemia (low number of red blood cells)

Magnex Forte 1.5gm Injection is a combination of two medicines: Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. Cefoperazone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefoperazone against bacteria.

  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
