What is Magnamycin Injection?

Magnamycin Injection contains Cefoperazone is is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in your body.

What is Magnamycin Injection used for?

  • Respiratory Tract Infection
  • Urinary Tract Infection
  • Bacterial Septicemia
  • Skin and Skin Structure Infection
  • Gynecological infections

Talk to your Doctor, if you ever had:

  • are allergic or hypersensitive to Cefoperazone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • liver diseaes
  • kidney disese
  • Diabetes
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
  • If you are 65 or older, use cefoperazone with care.
  • Magnamycin 1g Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have ever taken following medicines:

  • including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products
  • Aminoglycoside antibiotics
  • Loop diuretics
  • Anticoagulants
  • It is administered to you by a doctor or nurse  
  • You will always receive this injection by infusion into one of your veins
  • Kindly do not self administer.
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Allergic reaction
  • Anemia (low number of red blood cells)
  • Diarrhea
  • Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness)
  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
  • Do not use the medicine after expiry date
