WHAT IS LORATAD 10MG TABLET?

LORATAD contain Loratadine which belong to a group of medicines called antihistamine which is used to treat symptoms such as itching, runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing from "hay fever" and other allergies. It works by reducing the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body.

It is used to treat:

  • Symptoms such as Itching, Runny nose, Watery eyes, and Sneezing from "hay fever" and other allergies
  • Skin hives and itching in people with chronic skin reaction
  • Allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • Have liver problems
  • Have a child with kidney disease
  • Are about to have skin tests
  • This medicine is not recommended if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby . Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • This medicine is not recommended if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • This medicine is not recommended to the children aged less than 2 years
  • Consult with the doctor in case of the patient is a child with kidney disease
  • This medicine does not cause drowsiness in most people. However do not drive or operate any machinery until you are certain that you are unaffected by it

Please inform your doctor in case you are taking any of the following medicines:

  • Medicines which alter the performance of some enzymes responsible for drug-metabolism in the liver
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the tablets whole with water with or without food

If you forget to take this medicine:

  • Take the next dose as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
  • Drowsiness
  • Headache
  • Increased appetite
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Nervousness
  • Tiredness
  • Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children
  • Do not store above 25°C.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
