What is LAXIL SUSPENSION?

  • LAXIL SUSPENSION lactulose which is laxative and makes your stool easier to pass by drawing water into your bowel

What LAXIL SUSPENSION is used for?

It is used:

  • to treat constipation (difficulty pooing).
  • It is also taken to help a severe liver disease called hepatic encephalopathy.

Before using lactulose, tell your doctor or pharmacist:

  • if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies.
  • if you have: a low galactose diet (e.g., a diet that includes few or no milk products), certain other bowel problem (bowel obstruction).
  • your medical history, especially of: diabetes.
  • During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
  • Can be used on children under doctor recommendation.
  • It is unsafe to drive or use machine if you have taken lactulose.
  • Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of: antacids containing aluminum and/or magnesium, other laxatives (e.g., cleansing enemas with soap suds).
  • Always take your medicine as recommended by doctor.
  • Excessive Thirst
  • Gas
  • Diarrhea
  • Stomach Cramps
  • keep this medicine out of reach of children.
  • Donot use this medicine after expiry
  • Store in original package to protect from light
  • keep at room temperature (15-25°C)
