What is Labetol Injection?

Labetol Injection contains Labetalol Hydrochloride is an antihypertensive medication which is used to lower the blood pressure and also used in the treatment of heart failure.

What is Labetol Injection used for?

Treatment of Hypertensive emergency

Talk to your Doctor, if you ever had:

are allergic or hypersensitive to Labetalol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Congestive heart failure;
angina (chest pain);
liver disease;
emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or other breathing problems;
pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland);
diabetes;
coronary artery bypass surgery (sometimes called "CABG");
kidney disease;

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.

This medicine is not recommended for children and in patients with diabetes and lung disease.

LABETOL 20mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have ever taken following medicines:

including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products
verapamil.
nitroglycerin.
epinephrine, β-agonist bronchodilators.
alkaline drugs (eg, furosemide)
antidiabetic medication.
cimetidine and halothane.
tricyclic antidepressants.

It is administered to you by a doctor or nurse
You will always receive this injection by infusion into one of your veins
Kindly do not self administer

Dizziness
Ejaculation disorder
Vomiting
Fatigue
Impotence
Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation)
Nausea
Indigestion
Nasal congestion (stuffy nose)
Edema (swelling)

Storage

Protect from excess heat and light
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
Do not use the medicine after expiry date
