What is JASOCAINE -A ?

  • JASOCAINE -A  contains Chloroquine which belongs to a group of medicines called anti-malarial

What JASOCAINE -A is used for?

It is indicated for the,

  • suppressive treatment and for acute attacks of malaria
  • treatment of extraintestinal amebiasis

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have retinopathy
  • have psoriasis
  • have porphyria
  • have G-6-PD (glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase) deficiency
  • have auditory effects
  • have hepatic disease
  • are alcoholic
  • have a history of epilepsy
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • Consult your doctor for advice before giving this medicine to your children

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • antacids, cimetidine (used to treat ulcers)
  • kaolin (used to treat diarrhea)
  • ampicillin (used to treat infections)
  • cyclosporin (used to prevent organ rejection)
  • This medicine will be given by a doctor or nurse

If you receive more JASOCAINE -A

  • Your doctor or nurse will give you the medicine, so it is unlikely that you will receive too much. If you think you have been given too much, tell your doctor or nurse
  • Symptoms of overdose: headache, drowsiness, visual disturbances, nausea and vomiting, shock, convulsions sudden and early respiratory and cardiac arrest

  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
