What is IPOD CV 200MG?

  • IPOD CV 200MG contains Cefpodoxime and Potassium clavulanate which belongs to a group of medicine called Cephalosporin antibiotics

What IPOD CV 200MG is used for?

  • It is used to treat various bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, ear infections, throat infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), bronchitis, and other infections. The antibiotic works by destroying the cell walls of bacteria.

Talk to your doctor if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have ever had inflammation of your bowel like colitis or any other severe disease affecting your gut
  • are having any sort of treatment (like dialysis) for kidney failure
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • antacids (used to treat indigestion)
  • drugs used to treat infection
  • anti-ulcer agents (used to treat ulcer)
  • diuretics (used to increase urine flow)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Take IPOD CV after food
  • Swallow the tablet whole with some water
  • Do not chew, crush or split the tablet
  • The dose and the course of treatment depends on the severity and type of infection

If you take more

  • Contact your doctor or your nearest hospital immediately

If you forget to take

  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Just take your next dose at the usual time

If you stop taking

  • It is important that you take the full course of IPOD CV
  • Do not stop unless your doctor advises you to
  • bloating
  • nausea, vomiting
  • stomach pain
  • flatulence
  • loss of appetite
  • changes in blood tests that check how your liver is working
  • anaemia
  • drop in the numbers of blood cells (symptoms can include tiredness, new infections and easy bruising or bleeding)
  • increase in some types of white blood cells
  • increase in the numbers of small cells that are needed for clotting of the blood

  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25ºC
