What is HYOSPAN 10MG?

  • HYOSPAN 10MG contains Hyoscine which belongs to a group of medicines called antispasmodics

What HYOSPAN 10MG is used for?

It is used:

  • to relieve cramps in the muscles of your stomach, gut (intestine), bladder and the tubes leading to the outside of your body (urinary system)
  • in some diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine    
  • have glaucoma (eye problem)
  • have megacolon (enlarged bowel)
  • have myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness problem)
  • have heart problems
  • have difficulty or pain passing urine such as men with prostate problems
  • have gut blockage problems
  • have problems with your thyroid gland such as an overactive thyroid gland
  • This medicine should not be given if you are pregnant, likely to get pregnant or are breast-feeding
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • This medicine is not recommended for children
  • Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine it may cause sight problems or dizziness

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • doxepin (used to treat depression)
  • antihistamines
  • quinidine or disopyramide (used to control heartbeat)
  • haloperidol or fluphenazine (used to treat psychosis)
  • tiotropium, ipratropium or atropine (used for breathing problems)
  • metoclopramide (nausea)
  • This medicine is usually given by a doctor or nurse
  • It will be given to you slowly injected into a vein or by an injection into a muscle
  • Blurred vision
  • Increased heart rate
  • Dryness in mouth
  • Diarrhea
  • Dilatation of pupil
  • HYOSPAN 10mg Tablet is an anticholinergic medication. It works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25ºC
