What is Gadovist Injection?

Gadovist Injection is used as a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent to enhance the quality of visualizing the blood vessels, organs, and other non-bony tissues to detect or diagnose certain disorders of the brain, blood vessels, and spine.

What is Gadovist Injection used for?

  • Central nervous system magnetic resonance imaging
  • Vascular magnetic resonance imaging

Talk to your Doctor, if you ever had:

  • If you have ever had a reaction to a contrast agent, or if you have recently had an injury, surgery, or severe infection.
  • kidney disease or if you are on dialysis
  • diabetes,
  • high blood pressure,
  • liver disease,
  • a heart rhythm disorder,
  • asthma
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
  • Children aged up to 18 years has not yet been established.
  • Over 60 years old consult with doctor
  • No effects of Gadovist on driving ability and use of machinery can be expected.

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have ever taken following medicines:

  • Verapamil
  • Felodipine
  • Amlodipine
  • Diltiazem
  • It is administered to you by a doctor or nurse  
  • You will always receive this injection by infusion into one of your veins
  •  Kindly do not self administer
  • Blurred vision
  • Dizziness
  • Discoloration of the skin
  • Numbness
  • Rash
  • Headache
  • Pain at the injection site
  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
  • Do not use the medicine after expiry date
