What is FLONASPRAY NASAL SPRAY?

  • FLONASPRAY contain fluticasone which belongs to corticosteroids

What FLONASPRAY is used for?

  • It is used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis including stuffy, runny or itchy nose, sneezing and watery, itchy or red eyes, in adults and children aged 6 years and over

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to this medicine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have an infection in your nose
  • have had steroids for a long time, either as an injection or by your mouth
  • Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or pregnant or planning to be pregnant. It is not recommended for mothers who are breastfeeding
  • Do not use in children under 6 years old. Consult your doctor before giving this medicine to children
  • FLONASPRAY are not likely to affect you being able to drive or use any tools or machines

Tell your doctor if you are taking, or have recently taken any prescribed medicines such as:

  • medicines used to treat HIV infection such as ritonavir, cobicistat or fungal infections such as ketoconazole
  • Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you to
  • Only use in your nose, contact with the eyes should be avoided
  • It may take a few weeks for this medicine to work. So, keep using it, even though you may not feel better straight away
  • You should use FLONASPRAY every day

If you use more FLONASPRAY

  • If you use more, tell your doctor immediately

If you forget to use FLONASPRAY

  • If you miss a dose, just use the next dose when it is due. Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop using FLONASPRAY

  • Do not stop treatment even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop. If you do stop, the symptoms may come back

  • headache

FLONASPRAY Nasal Spray is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
  • Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
