What is FLOHALE 0.5MG?

  • FLOHALE 0.5MG contain fluticasone which belongs to corticosteroids
  • It works by reducing swelling and irritation in the lungs

What FLOHALE 0.5MG is used for?

It is used to,

  • prevent asthma attacks in people who need regular treatment

Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to this medicine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have ever been treated for tuberculosis (TB)
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • The use of FLOHALE 0.5MG is not recommended in children and adolescents
  • FLOHALE 0.5MG is not likely to affect you being able to drive or use any tools or machines

Tell your doctor if you are taking, or have recently taken any prescribed medicines such as:

  • medicine used to treat HIV infection (ritonavir, cobicistat) or fungal infections (such as ketoconazole)
  • Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you

If you use more FLOHALE 0.5MG

  • If you use more, talk to your doctor as soon as possible

If you forget to use FLOHALE 0.5MG

  • Take the next dose when it is due. Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose

If you stop using FLOHALE 0.5MG

  • Do not stop treatment even if you feel better unless told to do so by your doctor
  • Suddenly stopping treatment can make you feel unwell and may cause symptoms such as vomiting, drowsiness
  • allergic reactions marked by skin rashes, redness, itching or weals like nettle rash or hives
  • swelling of your face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing, itchy rash, feeling faint and light headed and collapse
  • breathing or wheezing gets worse straight after using your inhaler
  • thrush in the mouth and throat
  • sore tongue or throat
  • hoarseness of voice
  • bruising
  • pneumonia and bronchitis (lung infection)

  • thrush (candidiasis) in the oesophagus
  • sleeping problems or feeling worried, over-excited and irritable
  • joint pain
  • indigestion
  • level of sugar (glucose) in your blood may be increased

  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
  • Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
