What is EPIRUBITEC 50mg Injection?

EPIRUBITEC contains epirubicin is a cancer (antineoplastic) medication which is used to treat breast cancer.

What is EPIRUBITEC 50mg Injection used for?

  • Carcinoma of the breast

  • Advanced ovarian cancer

  • Gastric cancer

  • Small cell lung cancer

 

 

Talk to your Doctor, if you ever had:

  • are allergic or hypersensitive to Epirubicin or any of the other ingredients of this medicin
  • heart problems
  • radiation to your chest area;
  • liver or kidney disease;
  • bone marrow suppression
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
  • The safety and efficacy in children below 18 years of age have not been established
  • Epirubicin may cause episodes of nausea and vomiting, which can temporarily lead to an impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have ever taken following medicines:

  • including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products
  • cimetidine ;
  • heart or blood pressure medication;
  • chemotherapy with doxorubicin, daunorubicin, epirubicin, idarubicin, or mitoxantrone;
  • It is administered to you by a doctor or nurse  
  • You will always receive this injection by infusion into one of your veins
  • nausea, vomiting, diarrhea;
  • temporary hair loss;
  • blisters or ulcers in your mouth, red or swollen gums, trouble swallowing;
  • hot flashes, missed menstrual periods;
  • discoloration of your skin or nails;
  • back of energy; or
  • red-colored urine for 1 or 2 days after each injection
  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
  • Do not use the medicine after expiry date
