WHAT IS DOXOBID 200MG?

DOXOBID contain Doxophylline, that  is used to treat bronchial asthma and pulmonary disease associated with bronchospasm

It is used to treat:

  • Bronchial asthma
  • Pulmonary disease associated with bronchospasm
  • Hypersensitivity to doxophylline or other xanthine derivatives
  • History of cardiac disease
  • Suffer from hypoxemia, hyperthyroidism, Chronic cor pulmonale,
  • History of liver disease, peptic ulcer and in those with renal impairment
  • If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • This medicine is contraindicated during lactation
  • This medicine is recommended to the children aged 6-12 years

Please inform your doctor in case you are taking any of the following medicines:

  • Erythromycin, TAO, Lincomycin, Clindamycin, Allopurinol, Cimetidine, Influenza vaccine and Propranolol
  • Phenytoin, other Anticonvulsants
  • Ephedrine or other Sympathomimetic drugs
  • The dosage and duration prescribed by the doctor must be followed
  • This medicine should be taken orally and must be swallowed as a whole
  • Do not chew, on it or crush it or break the tablet
  • The dosage prescribed by the doctor may vary according to your condition
  • This medicine can be taken with or without food If you forget to take this medicine:
  • Take it as soon as you remember
  • If the timing is close to your next dose, skip it the missed dose and consume the next scheduled dose
  • Nausea
  • A disorder in the heart rhythm
  • Vomitting
  • Palpitations
  • Headaches
  • Epigastric pain
  • Paroxysmal spasm
  • Dizziness
  • Increase in blood sugar levels
  • Muscle weakness
  • Insomnia
  • Restlessness
  • Stomach upset
  • Body tremor
  • Biliousness
  • Do not use beyond the expiry date stated
  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat and moisture
