What is DECON 0.05% NASAL DROP?

 

  • It contain Oxymetazoline is an alpha-1A adrenoceptor agonist.
  • Oxymetazoline, an imidazole derivative, is a topical decongestant, used in the form of oxymetazoline hydrochloride

What is DECON 0.05% NASAL DROP used for?

 

  • It is used to treat nasal congestion, allergic reactions of the eye, and facial erythema associated with rosacea.
  •  It is used to treat nasal congestion (blocked nose) caused by the common cold or flu, hay fever and other allergies. It narrows the blood vessels in your nose to relieve nasal congestion and blockage.
  • It is use by the bottle inverted over the affected nostril, allow sufficient time for 2-3 drops to fall and spread inside the nose. Repeat the same steps while applying in the other nostril. Do not forget to replace the cap tightly after each use.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking oxymetazoline nasal drop:

  • Blurred vision.
  • fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeat.
  • headache, dizziness, drowsiness, or lightheadedness.
  • high blood pressure.
  • increase in runny or stuffy nose.
  • nervousness.
  • trembling.
  • trouble in sleeping.
