What is CLODERM-S CREAM?

CLODERM-S Cream contains medication containing two ingredients: Clobetasol Propionate and Salicyclic acid

What CLODERM S is used for?

  • Clobetasol Propionate is used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema and psoriasis
  • Salicylic acid used to treat and remove raised warts (usually found on the hands, elbows or knees) and verrucas (warts on the feet)

Tell your doctor before using this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to Clobetasol propionate and salicylic acid or to any of the other ingredients
  • have poor blood circulation the wart or skin surrounding it is inflamed or broken
  • have moles, birthmarks, unusual warts with hair growth
  • have any type of skin infection
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • CLODERM-S OINTMENT should not be used by children under the age of 1 years

CLODERM-S OINTMENT doesn’t have any effect while driving or using machines

  • Tell your healthcare provider if you are using any other topical preparations such as cream, ointment, gel
  • Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Wash your hands before and after using this medication topical unless you are using the medication to treat the skin on your hands
  • Apply a small amount to the affected area and rub it gently into the skin. Do not use this medicine over a large area of skin
  • Do not cover the treated skin area unless your doctor tells you to
  • If you are treating the diaper area of a baby, do not use plastic pants or tight-fitting diapers
  • Do not apply on broken skin

If you forget to apply CLODERM S

  • If you have forgotten to apply CLODERM S take them as soon as possible on the same day

If you stop applying CLODERM S

  • Do not stop applying CLODERM S without talking to your doctor first
  • burning, itching, or irritation of treated skin
  • dry or cracking skin
  • redness or crusting around your hair follicles
  • spider veins
  • stretch marks
  • acne
  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date

Cloderm-S Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid, which treats eczema and psoriasis. Clobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Clobetasol into the skin.
