What is Clincin gel?

Clindamycin Phosphate is an antibiotic which works by stopping the growth of bacteria

It is used to treat:

  • Bacterial infections
  • Always apply this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • It is intended for use on the skin
  • Wash as normal, rinse well and pat your skin dry
  • Apply a small amount of gel in a thin layer to the whole of the area where you usually get the spots
  • It is important to replace the cap after you have used this medicine If you forget to use this medicine:
  • Use it as soon as you remember and then continue to use as your doctor has told you.
  • Do not apply a double dose to make up the missed dose If you stop using this medicine:
  • If you stop applying too soon your infection may come back again or get worse
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor tells you to
  • Vaginal candidiasis, Vulvovaginitis
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Pruritus
  • Vulvovaginal disorder, Vulvovaginal discomfort, Vaginal discharge
  • Vaginitis/vaginal infection, Urinary tract infection, Candidiasis (body), Fungal infection
  • Allergic reaction
  • Taste perversion
  • Headache, Dizziness
  • Vertigo
  • Epistaxis
  • Abdominal pain, Halitosis, Diarrhoea, Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Dyspepsia, flatulence
  • Rash, Erythema, Urticaria
  • Dysuria, Glycosuria, Proteinuria
  • Vaginal pain

Consult your doctor if :

  • Allergic (hypersensitive) to clindamycin, lincomycin or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • Have a history of inflammatory bowel disease or antibiotic-associated colitis
  • Have diarrhoea or usually get diarrhoea when you take antibiotics
  • Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or plan to be pregnant
  • Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine if you are breast-feeding or planning to breastfeed as this medicine may pass into the breast milk
  • This cream is not recommended to children.
  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
