What is CLINACE LOTION?

  • CLINACE LOTION contains Clindamycin which belongs to a group of medicines called antibiotics

What CLINACE LOTION is used for?

  • It is used to treat mild to moderate acne(spots)
  • CLINACE LOTION may also help to reduce the redness of the spots on the skin

Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance CLINACE LOTION or any of the other ingredients
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • CLINACE LOTION should not be used by children under the age of 12 years
  • CLINACE LOTION doesn’t have any effect while driving or using machines
  • Tell your healthcare provider if you are using any other topical preparations such as cream, ointment, gel
  • Always apply this gel exactly as your doctor has told you
  • It is intended for use on the skin
  • You should use CLINACE LOTION once a day. Wash as normal, rinse well and pat your skin dry
  • Apply a small amount of gel in a thin layer to the whole of the area where you usually get the spots
  • It is important to replace the cap after you have used this medicine

If you use more CLINACE LOTION

  • If you use too much CLINACE LOTION at one time, just wash your treated skin with plenty of water. Contact your doctor or your local hospital

If you forget to use CLINACE LOTION

  • Use it as soon as you remember and then continue to use as your doctor has told you. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a forgotten application

If you stop using CLINACE LOTION

  • If you stop applying too soon your infection may come back again or get worse
  • Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor tells you to

  • worsening of acne
  • itchy skin

CLINACE LOTION is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria causing acne on your skin. It may take several weeks before your symptoms improve so you need to keep using this medicine even if it appears not to be working. Sometimes acne may get worse before it gets better, however, with proper use, your skin will get clearer. The earlier you start using it, the less likely you are to get scars.

  • Protect from excess heat and light
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
