What is CEFTOREN 400MG?

  • It contain Cefditoren which is  known as cefditoren pivoxil is a broad-spectrum antibiotic.
  • This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as cephalosporin antibiotics.

What CEFTOREN 400MG is used for?

  • is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.
  • It is used to treat Acute Bacterial Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis, Community-Acquired Pneumonia, Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis, Uncomplicated Skin and Skin-Structure Infections

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have carnitine deficiency
  • have inborn errors of metabolism
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • oral contraceptives (used for birth control)
  • antacids (used to relieve heartburn and indigestion)
  • H2-Receptor Antagonists
  • probenecid (used to treat gout)
  • cephalosporin, penicillin, beta-lactam antibiotics (used to treat bacterial infections)
  • epinephrine (used to treat anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest)
  • antihistamines (used to treat allergies)
  • corticosteroids
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you

If you take more CEFTOREN

  • If you accidentally take more tablets than your prescribed dose, tell your doctor,go to nearest hospital immediately

If you forget to take CEFTOREN

  • If you forget to take, CEFTOREN take it as soon as you remember
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking CEFTOREN

  • Do not stop taking this CEFTOREN unless your doctor tells you to do so

  • vaginal moniliasis, such as thick whitish discharge from the vagina or cervical canal
  • abdominal pain
  • dyspepsia
  • headache
