What is BLEOMYCIN 15mg?

  • BLEOMYCIN 15mg contains bleomycin which belongs to the group of medicines called anti cancer.

What BLEOMYCIN 15mg is used for?

  • It is used for the treatment of skin, oral cavity, head and neck cancer. It is also used for lymphomas, cancer of the testis and fluid accumulation in the chest caused by cancer.

Talk to you doctor or pharmacist:

  • If you have an allergy to bleomycin or any other part of this drug or if you are allergic to any drugs.
  • Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
  • Consult your doctor  If you are pregnant or may be pregnant. If you are breast-feeding.
  • It is not recommended for children.
  • This drugs may cause diziness or drowsy. Do not drive or use machinery until you feel safe.

Some products that may interact with this drug include: 

  • brentuximab
  • digoxin
  • drugs that may harm the kidneys (for example, aminoglycosides such as gentamicin, cisplatin), phenytoin.
  • Your doctor or nurses will give this to you. Kindly do not self administer.
  • sudden chest pain or discomfort, wheezing, dry cough or hack
  • shortness of breath
  • confusion, feeling weak or tired, loss of appetite, rapid weight loss
  • fever or chills
  • a light-headed feeling, feeling like you might pass out;
  • white patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips;
  • severe redness, itching, rash, blistering, or tenderness of your skin; or
  • unusual hardening or thickening of your skin.
  • Skin irritation.
  • Fever.
  • Upset stomach or throwing up.  
  • Mouth irritation or sores.
  • Weight loss. 
  • Confusion
  • Low Blood Pressure
  • Wheezing
  • A Heart Attack
  • Fluid In The Covering Of The Heart Or Pericardium
  • A Stroke
  • Inflammation Of Blood Vessels In The Brain Or Spinal Cord
  • Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, A Type Of Blood Disorder
  • Damage To The Liver And Inflammation
  • Kidney Failure
