What IS AMILAX TABLET?

AMILAX is a combination drug consisting Frusemide and Amiloride as its active ingredient. They act on different parts of your kidney to remove extra water and certain electrolytes while maintaining the potassium balance in your body.

What AMILAX is used for?

Amilax Tablet is used in the treatment of oedema.

Talk to your Doctor if you:

are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
have severe liver or kidney problems
have Addison’s disease
are an elderly patient with dementia
have diabetes
have low blood pressure
have prostate problems
have gout
are going to have a glucose test
have systemic lupus erythematosus

This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine

This medicine is not recommended to children and adolescents under 18 years of age

Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine it may cause dizziness, reduce alertness or impair vision

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

medicines used to treat blood pressure or heart problems
medicines used to treat diabetes
theophylline (used for wheezing or difficulty in breathing)
phenytoin (used for epilepsy)
medicines used to treat depression
drugs used to treat cancer
medicines used for pain and inflammation
ciclosporin (used to stop the rejection of organs after a transplant)
carbenoxolone (used for ulcers)
probenecid
medicines used for constipation
medicines used for asthma

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
This medicine can be swallowed with a whole glass of water
Do not crush or chew the medicine

If you take more FRUMIL

If you accidentally taken too many tablets, contact your doctor or go to your nearest hospital
symptoms of overdose: dry mouth, feeling thirsty, muscle pain or cramps, vomiting, weak or uneven heartbeat, dizziness

If you forget to take AMILAX

If you forget a dose, take another as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, then do not take the missed dose at all
Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose

If you stop taking AMILAX

Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor
