WHAT IS ACE 250MG?

  • This belongs to a group of medicines called pain-killers (analgesics).
  • It is used to treat pain and high temperature (fever) in children from 1 to 5 years of age. They are used by children who find it difficult to take paracetamol as tablets or syrup.

It is used to treat:

  • Pain and high temperature (fever)
  • Allergic to paracetamol or to the other ingredient of this medicine
  • If your child has liver or kidney problems.
  • talk to your doctor before taking this medicine

Please inform your doctor in case you are taking any of the following medicines:

  • Other medicines that contain paracetamol – do not give your child this medicine at the same time
  • Barbiturates
  • Medicines for epilepsy or fits
  • Warfarin
  • Chloramphenicol
  • Probenecid
  • Always use this medicine exactly as described by your doctor
  • This medicine is for rectal use only
  • The patient's bowels need to be empty when you give them this medicine.
  • If the patient needs to go to the toilet, make sure, that they do it before you give them this medicine
  • It may be easier to give the patient this medicine if they are lying on their front or side on a bed
  • Wash your hands.
  • Then peel the wrapping apart to take out this medicine.
  • Do not break this medicine before use
  • Gently push this medicine into the patient's back passage with the pointed end first.
  • To make it easier to give this medicine you may warm it slightly between your hands beforehand
  • Try to keep the patient still for a minute or two and then wash your hands
  • If you need to give another medicine; then follow the above procedure again If you forget to give this medicine:
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose If you stop taking this medicine:
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless told by your doctor
  • Redness of the rectal mucous membranes
  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
